In most of the Latin American and Caribbean countries where the Wesleyan Church is expanding, our leaders have limited or no access to formal theological education.

Many of our leaders live and serve in areas where there are no formal Bible institutes. Relocation to an institute pulls a leader out of ministry and creates economic challenges. Others are called to service later in life. Family and financial obligations make it difficult to attend a full time formal institution. Geographic, economic, and logistical challenges are just some of the important reasons why we need to develop and offer alternatives for educating pastors and leaders.

Our challenge is to offer quality yet affordable theological education for those who need it without taking them out of the churches where they serve. In order to take theological education to the student/pastor we are developing special materials and two different systems for delivery. The first is printed materials for use in extension institutes. These materials will then be adapted for use in the internet institute.

We are looking for developers to help with these materials. Look over the list of materials click on the menu item TEE status. If you can help please download the developer’s guides and sample course materials from the downloads page and contact: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
