Answer:

Students are permitted six months to complete each course. If all course work and mentor feedback forms are not complete and submitted before the due date, the student will receive an incomplete and lose access to the class.  There is no guarantee the course will be offered the following semester.  The next time the course is available, the teacher/Institute fee must be paid a second time to reenter the course. A second incomplete in the same course will result in the student’s account being closed.

Question:
(Last edited: Tuesday, 13 May 2008, 07:45 PM)
Answer:

Many of our courses contain practical exercises such as teaching a Sunday School class or preaching a sermon. A mentor needs to observe/supervise the ministerial activity, offer encouragement and constructive criticism. They will need to fill out and send in the feedback form and provide a copy to the student. The student will not receive credit for the assignment until the mentor’s feedback form has been submitted. In addition, the feedback form must arrive from the mentor’s personal email address.

Tips for selecting a mentor, choose someone:
  • Who is geographically close
  • Successful in ministry
  • An ordained minister when possible.
  • Who is willing to invest in you and help you improve
  • Who will follow through and submit the required forms.
