What do Wesleyan's Believe?
Doctrinal Declaration
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired and authoritative, the only infallible rule of faith and good works.
We believe in one God, Creator, and Sustainer of the Universe eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, his virginal conception, immaculate life, redemptive death, bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right hand of the Father God, and his personal return.
We believe that all men have sinned and are thus guilty before God and are under condemnation.
We believe that through the death of his Son Jesus Christ, God in His love provided atonement for the sin of man.
We believe that through repentance of his sins and faith in Jesus Christ as his only Savior, the believer is reborn through the work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, who acts in men and empowers them with gifts and fruit, giving them the power to live a life of holy and fruitful service.
We believe in the whole sanctification of the believer as a second work of grace effected by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the resurrection of the body, eternal punishment of unbelievers, and the eternal prosperity of believers in the presence of Christ.
We believe that the Church is made up of all true believers and that its mission is to communicate the Gospel to the entire world to give honor and glory to God.
